BE QUEER. AND BROWN. AND PEOPLE. TOGETHER.
Sharing Space: Generative Writing
Sharing creative space with people who intersect with key aspects of our identity is critical to the generative process. These workshops are designed to create a safe space for groups to generate written work, receive critical feedback from in-group members, and be in community with one another.
(Re)Presenting Binary Narratives: Reclamation
Workshops that explore the ways in which the written and spoken word can be used to reframe traditionally binary “either/or” narratives in POC, queer, and other marginalized cultures, and how using our voices can help heal the damage that such thinking has caused our communities.
Multiple Identities: Exploring Intersectionality
In these workshops, we visit the intersections between queerness, race, age, class, and other aspects of identity, and consider language as a method of self-exploration and education.
